I've never been a big fan of the PHL readings because they seem to have a lighter under the sensor, but 104 at 5 pm? They must have stuck it in a jet engine today. Let's hope it doesn't get into the climo data for the GW crowd lol

Maybe some politicians were landing at the airport, adding some hot air.

Ok, I have to question this as well. Temp rise in PHL between 4 and 6 of 2 degrees after peak heating, in this synoptic pattern?
Latest 6 PM (22) Jul 24 97.0 (36.1) 73.0 (22.8) 29.83 (1010) SW 12
5 PM (21) Jul 24 96.1 (35.6) 72.0 (22.2) 29.86 (1011) WNW 10
4 PM (20) Jul 24 95.0 (35.0) 72.0 (22.2) 29.88 (1011) WNW 8
ACY peaked between 3 and 5.
MIV peaked by 4.
ILG at 3, then tied at 5 (not sure about in between reports of course)
DOV by 4.
VAY at 2, 3, 5, and 6
Maybe it is correct, VAY also peaked hourly at 6, although first reached at 2. When I've looked at times we've hit 100 in the past (which would be a similar situation to today), most of the time it was by 4:30 pm. I think I saw one before just after 5.
